Gaus Electronics: We Want To Switch Departments!

Gaus Electronics is a 12-episode workplace romance comedy starring Kwak Dong-yeon (Vincenzo, Big Mouth, My Strange Hero, Our Beloved Summer), Go Sung-hee (King Maker: The Change of Destiny, Suits, While You Were Sleeping, Mother), Bae Hyun-sung (Our Blues, Dear M, Hospital Playlist, Extraordinary You) and Kang Min-ah (At a Distance Spring is Green, Beyond Evil, True Beauty). A 2.6 billion views webtoon series come to life with this comedic yet relatable story of office workers from the marketing department in Gaus Electronics.

Lee Sang-sik (Kwak Dong-yeon) is a trouble maker who is oblivious to the mood of others. He is straightforward even to his seniors at work. Cha Na-rae (Go Sung-hee) is an assistant manager with a temper. Baek Ma-tan (Bae Hyun-sung) is the heir of a big firm who enters the company with dreams of becoming independent. Gun Gang-mi (Kang Min-ah) is known for her beauty in the office, but when she gets drunk, she unleashes a different side of herself. The Marketing Team 3 within the Home Appliances Division is only marketing in name, with the teams 1 and 2 doing all the marketing work. Team 3 is a collection of losers who earn their monthly pay checks doing nothing. They are content with their standing in the office, until newcomer Sang-sik keeps bringing work in, and Ma-tan keeps proposing huge projects. With these two attempting to vitalize a quiet team, things get worse as top management are quarrelling within. Even in these circumstances, our Marketing Team 3 all work towards their goals, fighting, healing and loving in the process.

This will be Kwak Dong-yeon’s first leading role in a drama. He has proven his acting skills with outstanding performances between villains and good guys in his previous projects. The new generation of actors who have shown their own values in different works are now gathered together in “Gauss Electronics”, and the chemistry generated by the collaboration among the four leading cast will be a huge draw to this drama.

Based on one of Korea’s most raved webtoon by Kwak Baek-soo, “Gaus Electronics” illustrates the story of office workers’ daily life. Along with its realistic struggles and comicality, the drama will interest viewers with its workplace romance and friendships. The webtoon stole the heart of readers with an awesome mix of comedy and drama, and with this fantastic cast line up, its drama adaptation will certainly be very anticipated.

Following the success of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, the upcoming “Gaus Electronics” will be launched by ENA in Korea to continue their winning ratings and popularity streak! K-PLUS will be the first to bring this drama to Southeast Asia audiences.

Gaus Electronics will premiere on K-PLUS starting 1 October 2022, Saturday at 8.00pm (GMT+8). New episodes will air weekly every Saturday & Sunday at 8.00pm (GMT+8).
