SNOWDROP : It’s All Fair in Love and War Indeed! Recap and review from Episode 12 and 13
Episode 12
We are starting off the drama light and fluffy with a bunny mascot putting top secret records on the head editor’s desks, it is none other than Jang Hanna!
Remember that we ended the previous drama with kisses so now the kiss is an issue for Yeong-ro and Soo-ho who felt bad for their little rendezvous but talked it out and even joked a little at the prayer hall.
Another excitement for the fans of makjang moments! The wives of hopefuls are getting physical now and they get scolded by the fortuneteller for causing ruckus, that is probably one of the most satisfying parts for me in this drama.
Meanwhile, Kang Cheong-ya just learned that the order she got from the North to kill Soo-ho is from his own father. She did not proceed to kill him but also warned Soo-ho to not trust her because she is still entrusted by the government.
Ahn Chang-soo and Lim Ji-rok have learned that Soo-ho and Lee Kang-moo have joined an alliance in the dorm as Lim Ji-rok received a message about it from the dorm.
Nam Tae-il wants to plant bombs all over the dorm and kill them all after knowing that everyone in the dormitory already learnt about the political scheme.
It seems like the Kangmo-Sooho-Hanna’s effort to send records to the broadcast stations and newspapers turned futile and now Jang Hanna is wanted under the suspicion of dispatching the top secret tapes to and from out to the dorm.
Nam Tae-il was pointed a gun at by desperate Eun Chang-su, who has no fear no more with the life of his daughter at stake. I mean I would be just as desperate if I’ve just lost my son and the person who used to be my subordinate refused to go on board with my plan now that he has been promoted.
Plan is leaked, there is a mole and they had to find them quickly before the South sent in the SWAT team to the dorm.
Comrade Eung-yeol and Comrade Joo exchanged angry words about how Soo-ho has saved their lives during training but also that was how Comrade Joo was given a secret order to keep an eye on Soo-ho.
The skepticism spiked again, now it’s all internal. Among people in the dorm, among higher ups and in between high-rank agents with their own government.
We eventually get to find who the mole is but we do not have to worry about that anymore.
What matters now is the fact that Yeong-ro’s father was involved in casualty when he tried to see Yeong-ro by the shrine entrance.
This would cause a huge shift in the political scheme and the relationship dynamics for everyone in this story! Thankfully the review of the next episode is here.
Episode 13
Man down! Man down!
But you know, Nam Tae-il only cares about the party winning and not the well-being of Eun Chan-soo anyway. He planned how to narrate Eun’s death in his head, the same way the North would want their spies in the dormitory to die for – as a heroic act.
Trying to win kudos from the president, he vowed to kill everyone by tonight but the president did not care of his promise.
News reports were so twisted that it gave a hint to Kang-moo that the South would not hesitate to kill the students and even them, the so-called traitors. Action fans, your scene finally took flight in this episode!
Dr. Kang is being used as a hostage to shoo the SWAT team out of the dorm as they were led by Nam Tae-il himself.
The North agents eventually found a way to get the money from the South to the North through Eun’s wife. But how?
I might have been rooting too much on Yeong-ro and Soo-ho that I totally did not see that Kang Cheong-ya had a deep feeling towards Soo-ho, she practically asked reaffirmation from Soo-ho, in return for her cooperation, she wanted his companion. Oh my, now we have our triangle thing going on.
Mrs. Eun waltzed in the ASNP camp to threaten Nam Tae-il after receiving the tip on who ACTUALLY shot her husband, using the First Lady’s name. Nam Tae-il tried to brush it off but Mrs. Eun put him in his place by saying the party won’t keep him even if they won.
We got another kiss happen in this drama but it was so rash and funny, I would count this as the episode’s comic relief.
Now that I’ve seen clearly how Kang Cheong-ya feels about Soo-ho, we got a one-sided love reaffirmation scene at a less-romantic location.
Kang-moo on the other hand gets on his own plan with Hanna about Kang and Nam’s relationship, asking Hanna to dig on their relationship.
Dr. Kang is being saved and she goes to slap him at her home, where Hanna is spying under the bed. Hanna is really the underrated character that needed more attention!
Pay attention to how Kang Cheong-ya finally gets to showcase her skill as Moran Hill 1 and it seems like the fortuneteller holds a much more important role than we thought he was!
There is a FRESH scheme going on that adds zing in the makjang part! The wives are now holding an important key in this story! Finally!
Hey, remember Kang-moo the Black Tiger? The heartless agent has returned. And this time, he ran into trouble with his own fiance and his North Korean’s agent alliance, Soo-ho.
Would Kang-moo survive?
