SNOWDROP : Can’t Eat Cake and Have It Too. Recap and review from the finale episode.

Kang Cheong-ya has another plan set for the North agents instead of following Chang-soo’s plan.

There are so many plans that got tangled at this moment, now to watch closely which one would prevail.

The actual mole has also left the dormitory but the identity at least has been made known to the whole dorm. Eun Chang-soo has ordered roadblocks to take place, forcing the North gang to split ways, promising to meet at their destination.

Hanna and reporter Gal have taken a late night broadcasting radio studio over to report about the whole political scheme.

Eun Chang-soo told Ahn Kyung-hee to handle the media problem when the camping family of hostages nearby the dorm turned berserk after the broadcast.

Jang Hanna’s father came into the scene and started spewing loyalty to the president. Hanna finally gets to see the bigger picture, that Kang-moo’s disappearance was because of her father’s hateful scheme.

Ahn Kyung-hee returns to the news, trying to twist the Election Scheme’s broadcast by blasting the fact that Eun’s daughter is in the dormitory much to Eun’s disdain.

Soo-ho and Cheong-ya at the port have learned that the narrative played by the South’s ruling party has turned against Yeong-ro.

At Soo-ho’s question to the mole if following the party’s order ever made them happy we get a flashback of the previous Hall Director’s passionate ideologies discourse with the mole. It couldn’t be more impactful than when two senior characters did it.

At the port, 4 North Korean spies died in vain while Soo-ho wanted to save Yeong-ro and Cheong-ya would flee the scene after Soo-ho pleaded for her to help the North agent’s families fleeing the country. Cheong-ya revealed her real real name to Soo-ho.

Back in the dorm, Kang-moo in desperation to save the students, offered to shut his mouth and even make false statements if needed. With that Eun told him to release the hostages, his plan is to use the students for media reputation but Ahn Kyung-hee told Kang-moo that anyone who gets out of the dorm would be killed.

A battle tank is driving past the ruling party’s president’s ironic election’s tagline; A Country Without Confusion. Press gathered around Nam Tae-il, who popped out of the tank.

When he’s busy doing that, Eun Chang-soo has destroyed the detonator. Saying that they had to save the students in order to restore people’s faith in the ruling party. Eun went on to order the release of Hanna.

Boon Ok is finally redeeming herself after all the fiasco she has caused!

I am not sure how much skills an agent needed to posses but Hanna is driving a BUS to the dorm.

Things were working fine then a sudden explosion just went off inside the dorm.

Kang-moo met Soo-ho at the shrine entry point when they were evacuating the students to the bus but Soo-ho found out Yeong-ro was not there and went inside the dorm.

Kang-moo checks Hanna for a second then goes into the dorm again, Hanna threatens to kill Kang-moo if he dares to die there. He sighed and promised to die only in her hands. I honestly love their chemistry even when it’s distant or not in the same frame.

Yeong-ro, Miss Pi and Boon-ok are saving Miss Oh and they are found by the SWAT team and fire breaks in between Soo-ho before Kang-moo joins in. There’s even explosives involved, action freak would love this but my heart is crying knowing they are carrying an injured elderly with only two people capable of attacking and protecting.

Soo-ho pleads to Kang-moo with “hyung”. Tears welled in his eyes, when he left Soo-ho taking the whole SWAT team by his own, saving the ladies out of the scene.

Yeong-ro runs back to Soo-ho again and finds Soo-ho being hurt. They sought refuge, once again to the attic, where Soo-ho radioed a deal to Nam Tae-il with the Swiss Bank account’s password, only to be revealed if they could spare Yeong-ro.

The SWAT team found trails of Soo-ho’s blood. Sooho wanted to say something to Yeong-ro but the SWAT team arrived, offering a deal that Yeong-ro would stay alive if he surrendered.

And now you may get your tissues ready because the lovers who were never supposed to meet are parting ways in the most definite way possible, that they will never meet again.

The election’s result was shown on a television, where Mi-hye’s boutique was seized clean. Hong Ae-ra on the other hand ran away with money she took from the safe, leaving, even stepping on Eun Chang-soo’s picture. Where were the presidential hopefuls now? At their rightful place.

A few months after the election, Kang-moo and Hanna are driving in the jeep, with white chrysanthemum in hand.

Miss Pi in the dormitory is wearing much brighter clothes and seems to have worked better with Boon-ok.

Yeong-ro returned to Rome Coffee Shop, where she first saw Soo-ho, recalling Soo-ho’s words that he fell in love with her at first sight, which were recorded on the tape that Soo-ho gave her in his final moments.

And he said the three words by the end of the tape. It’s just heartbreaking that Soo-ho could not say it in real time.

Bonus scene is not to be missed; it is a scene that will heal your soul and heartache. It’s as though the young lovebirds exist in a parallel reality where they live happily ever after.
